I just wanted to drop you a note about our Lizzie - we adopted her in January 2008, after loosing our 18 year old cat to an infection. We new we needed another cat in our lives - and knew that LAWS was the place to go (you guys have been great in coming to visit my spark unit - so I was so aware of what you do) You had lots of great cats - playful, and full of life it was hard to choose - then one of the girls mentioned that Liz had been there for a long time and nobody would look at her - because she was very afraid and shy! Well that was all it took - I asked if I could pick her up and they didn't think she would let me - but she did and began to purr ever so quietly! I knew she was for us! We brought her home and my daughters Katelyn and Kristen decided that Liz wasn't what they wanted to call her - and that Lizzie was better! She was so scared - but you could tell she wanted to be loved - and with time she is becoming a great pet - She was so afraid and scared and actually very jumpy when we brought her home - but she is getting much more comfortable with us. She still won't jump up on our laps - but she comes around rubbing and looking for attention. She has decided that the many cat beds in the house aren't for her - and sleeps in bed with my girls - She is even great with car rides now - she goes and visits her Gramdma every once in a while. She is now playing with all her toys and is really starting to understand that we love her and won't hurt her - and she is a great addition to our family. Thanks to LAWS for everything you do for these animals!
