Franklin is a gentle giant! He is a big dog, with an even bigger heart. Franklin loves his foster family and is amazing with their kids (11 and 5 years old). His favourite things to do include: snuggling like a lap dog, playing fetch, finding stuffies, and sun bathing! Franklin was trained quickly with the invisible fence at the cottage and LOVES the boat. He is good with other dogs, but is a shy friend who watches and follows versus leading the play. Franklin loves company and doesn’t like being alone. So for him, Covid and social distancing has been great! He is hoping for a forever family with someone who works from home or is in the house most of the time. Franklin loves to go for walks and he is fantastic on the leash. He is a big dog though, and he has some funny fears! Franklin is scared of big noises including trucks and trains. This means our walks go better when foster mom or dad are holding the leash. Such a big lovely boy who deserves the best life! He has been an absolute pleasure to have with us in our family as a foster and we can’t wait to introduce him to more people who will love and care for him.
Franklin will be in his foster home until he is adopted. We are currently accepting adoption applications for this boy. Please call the shelter for more information. There will be a screening process and a series of meet and greets to ensure this boy finds a successful match for his forever home.
