Our volunteers are the heart of LAWS\, and it’s a chance to celebrate the people who make our work possible every day. They give their time\, energy\, and compassion to the animals in our care all year long\, and this event is our way of saying thank you. \nEvent Details:\nSunday\, April 26\, here at LAWS (rain or shine)\n11:00 am to 3:00 pm \nThis is a relaxed\, family-friendly afternoon featuring:\n    Food vendors\n    Live music\n    Inflatable games\n    Local artisan pop-ups\n    Our Thrift Store will be open \nNew this year: We’re opening the event to the public!\nEveryone is welcome to drop by\, enjoy the atmosphere\, and help us celebrate our incredible volunteers. It’s also a great opportunity to learn more about getting involved. \nFood Information:\nLunch will be provided free of charge for registered LAWS volunteers. \nMembers of the public are welcome to purchase food directly from our on-site vendors. \nPlease no pets:\nTo keep everyone comfortable and safe (especially the animals joining us outside that day)\, we ask that pets stay at home. Join us for the 2026 LAWS Doggie Dash\, a fun-filled dog walk to fundraise for the Lakefield Animal Welfare Society! On June 14\, 2026 we will gather in the park and kick off the walk together. By joining us\, you and your dog will help rescue\, rehabilitate and find forever homes for more dogs and cats in the community. \nEvent Details: \n\nDate: June 14\, 2026\nLocation: Isabel Morris Park\, Selwyn\nStart Time: Registration will open at 12:00 pm with the walk kicking off at 1:00 pm!\nDistance: Participants can choose from two walking distances: 1.5km or 2.5km\nTo join the walk\, each participant or team must raise a minimum of $100.\n\nFundraising Profiles: You will have your own profile where you can raise money for the walk.
