19th Annual LAWS Golf Tournament a Huge Success!

On September 13, 2025, Lakefield Animal Welfare Society hosted its 19th Annual LAWS Golf Tournament at Liftlock Golf Club, and what a day it was! With sunny skies, friendly competition, and an incredible show of community spirit, this year’s tournament was our most successful yet.

A total of 60 golfers came together with 15 generous sponsors and 29 prize and auction donors, raising an outstanding $20,561 for the shelter. Every dollar raised helps us provide care, comfort, and second chances for animals in need.

Adding to the fun, the day featured lively entertainment from Betty Baker, Drag Performer, and Pete Dalliday, Morning Host on 100.5 Fresh Radio and the voice of the Peterborough Petes, Lakers, and Halifax Thunderbirds, who joined us as our Honorary MC. Their energy and humor made the event even more memorable.
