Building Community Connections: Partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters Peterborough

We were thrilled to welcome Big Brothers Big Sisters Peterborough to the shelter as part of their Mentoring Together Program. Their youth and senior participants spent the day learning about animal behaviour and welfare, taking part in a guided tour, and of course, meeting some of our furry friends along the way.

By collaborating with local organizations, we can share our passion for animal care and education, creating meaningful learning experiences that inspire compassion, empathy, and understanding. These visits help participants see first-hand how teamwork, responsibility, and kindness come together in the care of animals.
