Ava Finds Her Forever Home with The Vine: A Heartfelt LAWS Adoption Story

Ava’s journey to her forever family is one that reflects everything we hold close at Lakefield Animal Welfare Society. It is a story of compassion, community, and the beautiful connections that happen when people come together to give animals the second chance they deserve.

Longtime Community Partners Make a Life Changing Visit

Tyrone and Lauren from The Vine have been incredible supporters of LAWS. They joined us as a vendor at our annual Doggie Dash and, most recently, we partnered with them for an inspiring Thanksgiving Community Meal that brought comfort and kindness to so many in need.

During that event, more than 150 meals were served within the first hour alone. We were grateful to stand beside The Vine and provide pet food and supplies for community members and their animals, thanks to the generosity of Hill’s Pet Nutrition and PetSmart. It was a powerful reminder of how meaningful community care can be.

Not long after, Tyrone and Lauren visited the shelter. That is when they met Ava.

Ava Chooses Her Family

The moment Ava saw them, everything changed. She walked right in for affection, snuggled up, and let everyone know she had found her people. It was instant, it was heartfelt, and it was exactly what we hope for every animal who comes through our doors.

Ava had been waiting for the right match and she knew immediately that Tyrone and Lauren were her family. The connection was undeniable and this adoption quickly became one of the most heartwarming moments of the year.

Life After Adoption: Adventures and a New Job Title

Since settling into her new home, Ava has fully embraced life as The Vine’s newest and most beloved team member. She has:

• Become The Vine’s unofficial top employee and daily source of joy

• Gone on many walks and adventures with her forever people

• Dressed up for Halloween and made everyone smile

• Enjoyed her first well earned pup cup from Starbucks

Ava is thriving, happy, and deeply loved, and we could not imagine a more perfect match.
