Kitten season is well underway and some of our little ones are ready for adoption!
Join us at the shelter to meet kittens who are looking for their forever families. We will have 15-20 kittens available on the day, and you’re also welcome to meet our adult cats while you’re here. Come early to find your new friend and take them home.

– Date: Saturday, July 25, 2026
– Time: 11:00 am to 2:00 pm
– Location: Lakefield Animal Welfare Society
Please come prepared:
– This event is first come, first served, and kittens will not be put on hold.
– You may have to line up outside and wait your turn—bring a hat/umbrella, sunscreen, and a bottle of water.
– Bring a carrier if you’re planning to take someone home.
– Review our adoption fees.
Our adoption and animal care team will be on-site to guide you through the adoption process, answer any questions, and help you make this important and joyful decision. These sweet kittens have been raised with the dedicated care and attention of our foster network and we’re excited to match you up with just the right cat to suit your home.
Our cats and kittens come with a microchip and age-appropriate vaccines, and they’re spayed/neutered before adoption is completed. Underage kittens go home under foster-to-adopt agreements pending the spay/neuter date. We schedule and manage that process, and then final adoption paperwork is completed following surgeries. You take them home to get settled and begin bonding in the meantime!
