On Sunday, April 26, 2026, we’re hosting our annual Volunteer Appreciation BBQ. Our volunteers are the heart of LAWS, and it’s a chance to celebrate the people who make our work possible every day. They give their time, energy, and compassion to the animals in our care all year long, and this event is our way of saying thank you.

This is a relaxed, family-friendly afternoon featuring:
Food vendors
Live music
Inflatable games
Local artisan pop-ups
Our Thrift Store will be open
New this year: We’re opening the event to the public!
Everyone is welcome to drop by, enjoy the atmosphere, and help us celebrate our incredible volunteers. It’s also a great opportunity to learn more about getting involved.
Food Information:
Lunch will be provided free of charge for registered LAWS volunteers.
Members of the public are welcome to purchase food directly from our on-site vendors.

To keep everyone comfortable and safe (especially the animals joining us outside that day), we ask that pets stay at home. Thank you for understanding!
